INSPIRING STUDENTS TO LIFELONG LEARNING – THE AIS Egypt

The American International School in Egypt is one of Egypt’s leading schools and has partnered with Rosetta Stone since 2012, achieving great results. The program supports the school’s mission statement of inspiring students to be lifelong learners who contribute positively within a diverse and changing world.

Rosetta Stone’s classroom solution is used across the globe by teachers as a tool to support their classroom teaching enabling students to develop their language skills further. Here is what AISE’s ELL Coordinator Anne Neill had to say about the program:

“Over 90% of our middle school students are English language learners, and although proficiency levels vary widely, nearly every student has benefited from Rosetta Stone usage.  As I have observed students working in the lab, even the students with stronger English are refining their pronunciation, spelling, and grammar.  Rosetta has helped some of our students overcome fossilized errors.

In addition, our middle school students were able to experience field trips to Greece and Italy this year.  Teachers required students to work on Greek and Italian using Rosetta Stone before travelling.  It gave students purpose and an appreciation for the culture and language of the countries they were visiting.  They were proud to be able to say a few things to the locals in their own languages!”
