As chief product officer for Rosetta Stone Inc., Gregory Long is responsible for all product development functions of the company. This includes the award-winning Rosetta Stone products which combine native speakers with real-life images, world-leading speech recognition and fully interactive software to teach languages.
Gregory also oversees the content team of professional photographers, audio technicians, language experts, product managers, writers and editors; as well as the software development organisations, which creates world-class technologies that allow learners to experience the power of the Rosetta Stone learning methodology ― Dynamic ImmersionTM. In addition, Gregory oversees the product management organisations, which handles product direction, strategy, and product life cycles.
Prior to joining Rosetta Stone, Gregory was vice president of product development for LeapFrog SchoolHouse, a division of LeapFrog, a San-Francisco-based provider of interactive, research-based educational programs for children. Gregory’s career also includes holding senior positions at Mattel’s The Learning Company and Disney/Electronic Arts’ children’s software education company, Creative Wonders, in Fremont, Calif.
Gregory holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, and a master of business administration from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
