Laurence Franklin

Laurence Franklin is the chief executive officer of Tumi, the leading international brand of luxury travel, business and lifestyle accessories.

He began his career at Tumi in 1986 working with the founder as the company developed its premium positioning. In 1993, Laurence became the president of Coach. Under his leadership, the company’s sales doubled to more than $500 million.

In 1996, he joined Unilever as executive vice president and general manager of the designer fragrance and international cosmetics businesses. In 1999, Laurence rejoined Tumi as president responsible for strategic development and was subsequently appointed chief executive officer.
