Rosetta Stone teaches new languages through a step-by-step sequence of carefully structured lessons. New words become associated with familiar objects, actions, and ideas. Words build to phrases and sentences in a systematic progression.
Rosetta Stone is the fastest way to learn a language because we harness your natural language-learning ability and use a computer to recreate the environment in which you learned your first language, completely immersing you in the new language. This Dynamic Immersion™ method is so fast and so effective, it’s used by the Fortune 500, the U.S. State Department, and over 10,000 schools.
Anytime, anywhere, any speed. Rosetta Stone is ready to go when you are. No schedules to keep or missed lessons to make up. You decide when you want to study, for as long and as often as you want.
When something is fun, it captures your attention…and holds it! Interactive activities, vivid imagery and voices of native speakers make Rosetta Stone truly engaging – not tedious or boring, but fun and exciting. And it really works!
Rosetta Stone teaches you the four key language skills you need to excel in any language: listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing.
Improve your speech by imitating a native speaker. It records your voice and evaluates your pronunciation and accent.
Immerses you completely in your new language so you’ll learn quickly and retain what you learn. Systematic structure helps you build your arsenal of language quickly.
Previews, exercises, and tests with automated tutorials help you focus on areas that need additional reinforcement.
A Student Management System provides parents the ability to build lesson plans and see specific information about student performance. These tools make it unnecessary for the parent to be present while the student works. Parents can simply check in on student progress from time to time

Every Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 2 Language program includes the Student Management System (SMS). The SMS allows parents to lesson plan, follow student progress and generate reports.
For many homeschooling parents, teaching a foreign language is a daunting task. Lesson planning can be difficult because many parents have never taught a foreign language course, and often times they do not speak the language the student is learning. Rosetta Stone® makes lesson planning easy because parents can create their own lesson plan or choose from two preloaded lesson plans. A simple setup wizard will help parents create student user names and passwords and enroll them into their desired lesson plan. The two lesson plans are as follows:
Parents wishing to use Rosetta Stone as the core foreign language curriculum for their students may want to use the Comprehensive Lesson Track. This lesson track provides thorough instruction in Rosetta Stone content, guiding students through seven exercises and three tests in each lesson.
This lesson plan is intended for the student who wants to advance more quickly through the program, but still wants to have instruction in all language skills. The Accelerated Lesson Track contains four exercises and two tests per lesson
All testing is done on the computer with Rosetta Stone. Within the lesson plans, students automatically advance from exercise to tests. Once a student reaches a test, they must achieve a certain predetermined proficiency level on that test, 85% for example, in order to move on. If the student does not achieve that level, they must test again until that level is achieved.
Parents can adjust the proficiency levels set in the lesson plans to meet learning goals in both the Accelerated and Comprehensive tracks. Parents also have the ability to set proficiency levels when building their own lesson plans.
The Student Management System gives parents the ability to view, print and export student results. Parents can create a report for one or multiple students. Information available in this report includes:
More information regarding lesson planning, testing, and reporting as well as sample schedules and cultural activities can be found in the Handbook for Teachers Homeschool Edition included with every Rosetta Stone Homeschool Version 2.

The Danish language is spoken by more than 6 million people. Derived from Old Norse, Danish evolved in a fashion similar to the other Scandinavian languages. It offers a unique insight into the only Scandinavian country connected to mainland Europe.
Denmark is the world's oldest kingdom. Today, Denmark operates as a constitutional monarchy and its territory includes Greenland and the Faroe Islands. Shakespeare aficionados will recognise Elsinore in eastern Denmark as the setting for 'Hamlet'. It was Hans Christian Andersen who helped transform the image of this land into that of a true 'fairytale' country.
Danish permits noun compounding, like most Germanic languages. Verbally, Danish uses glottal stops in pronunciation of certain homonyms to differentiate words.
Featuring relatively simple grammar and a variation of the Latin alphabet, Danish offers written commonality with Swedish and Norwegian, although Scandinavians tend to speak to each other in English.
