- Dutch spelling and pronunciation conform to logical patterns.
- The Dutch language uses a system of accent marks to ensure the correct pronunciation of particular letters. Rosetta Stone will teach you this system.
- Two primary categories of nouns exist in Dutch; common and neuter. Common nouns are made up of feminine and masculine words.
- Nearly every Dutch noun may be converted to a diminutive, a form denoting smallness, by adding a ‘-je’ ending.
