How We Teach

Intuitive Language Learning

Rosetta Stone software provides an enjoyable, intuitive and effective environment to help learners develop new language quickly and easily. Our unique Dynamic Immersion teaching methods incorporate innovative technologies that tap into the innate ability to learn language we all possess.

As children, we learnt our first language through 'complete immersion', a natural process that involved associating words and meaning with the objects and concepts to which they refer.

Working closely with language experts, we have developed software that mimics the same natural language learning process to help people acquire a new language intuitively. By connecting the meaning of new language to familiar, real-life images and experiences, users will learn to think in their new language without having to rely on translation. They will be introduced to speech from the outset, using innovative voice recognition technology to practice their pronunciation against native speakers.

Language acquisition is reinforced through Adaptive Recall technology. This intelligent feature helps learners improve their understanding of words and phrases they may not fully comprehend at first. This language is then reintroduced and tested at optimal intervals to ensure greater understanding and continuous development.

Rosetta Stone language lessons build coherently, offering a step-by-step sequence that is both highly accessible and extremely effective. This makes our language learning software easy to use for anyone, even with no prior experience of the language being learnt.

Customer Comments

"As a couple we tend to travel a fair amount and we enjoy the flexibility that Rosetta Stone provides. We can dip into it at our leisure and not be restrained by class timetables or the cost of a tutor."
- Elisabeth Raymond

"I have been using Rosetta Stone for over six months now, and I am finding it very effective. I like the fact that I can work at my own pace and in my own time, for example, completing a quick ten-minute lesson at my desk during my lunch break."
