Sandy’s back – in Paris again and her French is getting better and better
Sandy recorded this video diary of her latest trip to Paris for us. Once again, Sandy has been breezing through the salons and eateries of the world’s chicest capital. Undaunted by the posh Parisians in upmarket stores like Galeries Lafayette, she set about getting herself a new frock, in French. Check out her latest adventure and see what progress you can make in just a few months!
There’s no better place to practise your French than in France. Sandy has been taking advantage of the Eurostar and hopping over to the French capital to shop, eat and converse. This is her second trip since she started re-learning the language with Rosetta Stone last November, and she appears to be enjoying herself.
“In comparison to the first time visiting Paris I was more confident and I had bigger plans to make the Parisians respond to me in French. And it happened! Admittedly, just before I jumped into a French conversation in the Galeries LaFayette I was NERVOUS – this was probably partly about the excitement of finally putting my language skills to the test! But it went well and, all the nerves turned out to be positive, helping me concentrate.”
I’ve been growing my language skills as well as growing as a person”
“I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it again – learning a new language teaches you so much about yourself and other people! It helps you get out your comfort zone and really fills you with confidence that you didn’t think you had! When I started picking it back up, in November, I was sceptical and a little worried about how it would all turn out, but now here I am – excited to go to France again and not afraid to tell any French person I meet: “Bonjour! Ca va?””
Rosetta Stone is the perfect tool for starting or revising your French knowledge and especially for mastering your French pronunciation skills. With the best pronunciation trainer on the market and weekly training sessions with French tutors, you’ll be in good hands.
“You might wonder if Rosetta Stone is the right choice for you – I’ve been learning on the tube, on the bus and in cafe’s whilst surrounded by other people. I can honestly say that it was the most convenient way to learn a new language, especially for someone like me with a busy London lifestyle :-)”
