I was keen to interview Michele. Not just because she is so well travelled, but because she has such a genuine passion for languages. She has learnt several languages already, including achieving fluency in Italian, and she is always striving to increase her range, recently taking on Arabic with our help, and now set to try Afrikaans. But not just a language learner, Michele is also an instructor with books and courses about learning Italian to her name.
As I spoke to her over a pint in a London pub, she told me how languages have changed her life, bringing her to Europe and then driving her adventures from there.
It’s never too late to take an interest in languages and get started with this endlessly inspiring pastime. At whatever level is comfortable, you can pitch in and start playing the language game. It’s a great way to broaden your horizons, meet new people and discover new places. Rosetta Stone gets you going with a new language in a fun and engaging way. The software takes you straight to the sights and sounds of the language you are learning and the online tutors give you support and motivation from week 1.
